Cause for real it would hell of a lot more anoying that way, reducing insanely the speed of a person learning how to play. I myself am very happy that i started to play with save/load still in game. Cause lets say someone on his 3rd or 4th gameplay he manages like a 4h run, oh you made a mistake? Bam entire progress goes to shit. Cause specially to new players, this will be hell of anoying. If you want to just have a random gameplay, hell let people save and load when they want.
If its for leaderboards, you are not able to save like in the old versions of the game.
